At one time, everyone was talking about the cloud, now it has become mainstream and is comfortably used for storage, computing and applications, it’s no longer cutting edge, rather it is moving to “business as usual”. In Australia we are still adapting to the trend to move to cloud computing helped by Over The Top players, who are closing the gap quickly with their global reach, providing services that small businesses find attractive economically and practically. Amazon, Google and Apple want to get their hands on your data and are pitching their cloud solutions aggressively. We have our own telcos who are all making plays for our data and delivering content from their clouds. So with so many competing clouds, where is it all going?
